If Popeye ever wanted something to dunk his food into, this easy Spinach dip recipe could have been exactly up his alley. You don’t have to be a muscle-bound sailor to enjoy this tasty spinach dip with tarragon and nutmeg though. Here's how to make it.
Spinach Dip Ingredients
- 1 Packet of frozen chopped spinach
- 2 and a half tablespoons of chopped onions,
- 6 tbsp of Greek yogurt.
- A quarter of a teaspoon of pepper
- A quarter of a teaspoon of salt
- 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
- A quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg
- Half a teaspoon of ground tarragon
- A quarter of a teaspoon of sugar
To make your delicious spinach dip, its best to start with spinach which is as finely chopped as possible. To that end, take a packet of frozen chopped spinach, squeeze out any excess liquid, and place the spinach in a blender to fragment it into tiny pieces.
Once it has had its time in the blender, empty the spinach into a mixing bowl. Add 2 and a half tablespoons of chopped onions, two tablespoons of mayonnaise and 6 tablespoons of Greek yogurt. Mix and knead the mixture together with a fork. Add a quarter of a teaspoon of pepper, the same amount of salt and also of nutmeg. Then, to give this recipe its special kick, add a half a teaspoon of ground tarragon. Another essential to add is a quarter teaspoonful of sugar. You may be tempted to leave the sugar out, but the dip really does need it, so go on, after all it's only a tiny amount.
Mix everything well with a fork and transfer your completed mixture into a smaller serving bowl for a delicious spinach dip.
